The 75th Ranger Regiment is composed of rapidly-deploy-able light infantry forces with specialized skills that enable them to perform a variety of special operations missions – airborne, air assault, and direct action operations, raids, infiltration and ex-filtration by air, land or sea in addition to airfield seizure, recovery of personnel and special equipment, and support of general purpose forces, among other uses. Each Ranger battalion is expected to deploy anywhere in the world within 18 hours notice.
